"Well look who decided to show up. I was getting ready to die of old age," Bosco retorted easily as he pulled open the door to the pub. It was a joke, but from his tone of voice and the scowl on his face it was nearly impossible to tell that. And that was how Bosco liked it. He enjoyed leaving people guessing. It made them scared of him and the more scared they were the more power he had.

Though... he doubted Light would be easily intimidated by hard jokes and irritated glares. Bosco couldn't quite pinpoint what it was exactly, but there was something about the way the kid carried himself that was a little too confident. It wasn't a bad thing-- Hell, the world could do with a few more people with backbones-- It was just... unexpected.

Stopping just inside the door and giving Light time to join him, Bosco gave the room a quick scan, quickly dismissing the inhabitants as complete non threats.

"Nothing but a bunch of disillusioned drunks," he commented to Light, scoffing at the sight.

Talk about sorry for the delay. Incredibly unprofessional of me, sorry guys. scorchednpcs February 13 2010, 08:54:59 UTC
Another day, another customer. Not that he had anything to complain about, of course. Duncan pushed his hand through his hair and glanced up at the approaching patrons, greeting them with a welcoming smile even as he poured a drink for the rather surly looking fellow in front of him. He tried not to overhear too much - well, all right, he didn't try too hard and also it depended on the way you wanted to talk about "trying." But either way, he didn't interrupt at least, which was just plain old manners.

Instead, he just poured another drink and waited for them to approach.

Probably they would. They had that look about them, you know the one - something less casual, more business. Like a lot of those Scorched fellows and ladies who came by, always looking for a little tip, giving a little tip in return - well, fair's fair.

He leaned against the bar, congenial grin on his face, waiting.

Taking the lead, Bosco made a beeline for the bar, not bothering to answer Light. He didn't think the other expected much of a response anyway. Besides, the bartender-- Duncan, was it-- was giving them a smile.

Bosco didn't waste his time returning the gesture. Instead he opted to sit his ass down right in front of the man and give him a long hard gaze before saying, "Duncan, right?" in a hard voice that was trying to be friendly.
