It wouldn't be here, that was for certain. Prisilla was still pulsing with that aura, and she felt it close on her on every heart beat. There was Isley, who she despised for making her out to be small and weak. So. Once she was in the room (and no longer tracking the animals with her eyes) she goes directly for the bed, skirting around Isley.
Even if she had leaves and snow melting in her hair, she was all the grim and serious as she could be.]
What happened.

[Isley leans up against the bed post, a smile as relaxed as his posture appearing on his face.]
Besides, Miata is a child. Her tongue may be as feral as she is, but that is something I can forgive her. She's not nearly as old as you, Roxanne, and nowhere near full grown. Your mouth, on the other hand, is disgusting. You've attempted to soil Priscilla's good name with it. You expect me to forgive that? I won't.
Just like Priscilla would not forgive Rigaldo or myself if we were to turn on her. [A brief pause, and his smile fades.] I'm afraid Rigaldo raises the most crucial point of all, however ( ... )

[Roxanne chuckles softly, and shakes her head.]
Anyway, I don't know anything about that girl's name. I'm only looking at the evidence. A power great enough to maul one high ranked warrior and kill another... carrying a bladed weapon...
Well, who knows. Perhaps the girl killed Teresa and mauled herself to cover it up.
Reply
Or perhaps Teresa attacked her first, and then cut off her own head to avoid incrimination.
[THE DRIEST SENTENCE POSSIBLE.]
Priscilla would not do that. I suggest you consider your evidence a little more before you make any further accusations.
Reply
Let her speak, Rigaldo. Perhaps Roxanne would care to tell us why she is focusing her attention upon those closest to Priscilla.
[It seems rather like something their alleged beast would do.]
Ruling out Teresa and Priscilla as the culprits, because the idea is ludicrous, who else might you point your finger at, Roxanne? Keeping in mind Priscilla's was a surprise attack, and for Teresa to be dead, we might conclude her attack to have begun much the same. That doesn't speak of familiarity to me. It speaks of cowardice, fearfulness, and weakness.

I don't mind telling you at all, really. It's simple enough.
There aren't many beings I can think of capable of killing a Number One warrior, or... whatever that girl is, these days. That sort of strength isn't like to go unnoticed. So the obvious answer is to look at those with such strength that have been noticed and rule them out - or in - before waving our blades at unnamed no ones in the mist. Particularly potential culprits with the motivation or the nature to render such actions... plausible, shall we say.
Or is that concept to difficult to follow?
[She smiles.]
But certainly, why not move on? I suppose it could speak of cowardice, but if we're ruling out the obvious suspects then we're back to-- well, whoever knows? A random monster, a hunter who routinely acts in secret...
Perhaps they were afraid, or perhaps that's simply how they attack.

[Sort of.]
I was surprised to learn that whatever it is had escaped our notice until now. ...Much like the dragon that recently revealed itself. And the island.
[You know. That entire other town that nobody knew about.]
The mist hides many dangers. What you think and what is possible do not always go hand in hand.
It sounds as though you would prefer it to be one of us.

[She makes a face, and sighs. She knows that she's not the best person to go out there, but her abilities are based physically, not on yoki. She'd be the best for tracking this thing down.]
Some are too weak. Some might hunger.
...we agree yes? But. Do not. Have Priscilla. Say final.
We are not hers. We are...selves. Yes?
[She looks up at Isley. She's not calm, but she's not going to rip out his throat either.]
How else will I unbreak. If cannot think for self. Yes?
Reply
[Miata's question, at least, gives her something else to focus on.]
...yes. I think that makes sense.
[Thinking for oneself. It's something she had to learn, too - how to exist apart from the Organization. The first step toward self-realization.]
But if the two of you can work together, I wouldn't have any objections to that.

[He finds himself nodding his head, agreeing with her and with Priscilla.]
We're not Priscilla's, no. But she heads the Alliance and she knows the strength of her attacker better than you or I, and that isn't something to take for granted.
[A smile touches his lips as his eyes slide shut.]
Do you object to my accompanying you, Miata?

[She's just putting that in the open. She doesn't like you Isley. But that's mostly to do what you are. She grumbles the words, but she understands. It's a distasteful situation for both of them, but at least she knows better then to try and kill him. Not when there's something more important to deal with.
It'd be so much easier if she wasn't thinking for herself.
She bares her teeth for a moment, before looking away, her sigh gusty and loud her hands twitch. Wanting a sword of course. But-he's strong, and both of them may be able to deal with whatever is out there. Or she might die, and he'd barely survive. Maybe.]
But will do it. Sooner better before scent dies.
