[Sakura, on the other hand, has already asked what he remembers. Which is nothing more than what she remembers herself. She couldn't help the little stab of disappointment that came with that, though she hadn't meant for Lee to hear it. It was just that she'd left her home in shambles, months ago, and now she has no idea what's happened to it.

Something must be happening. Akatsuki was on the move.

Not for the first time she makes a mental note to hunt down Kakashi and somehow make him talk.

Lee's here in Anatole though, and for Sakura that is both a good thing and a bad one. Lee is her friend and it's always good to have more of them here, but at the same time he's her friend and she doesn't wish this place on him.

None of that conflict shows when she approaches him, though. No, he gets two smiles as greeting: Naruto's and hers.]

[Lee greets them both with a smile - it's genuine but also a little forced because he's had a lot of things to think about lately. A day ago and things were all so different and by that he means familiar in a strange queer way. It's somehow much more believable that his Konoha - the place he grew up and lived for - was burned into rubble than it is to believe that all the things he has discovered in the past hour
