... [ Freya had been perfectly content to stay in the jail - or so she told herself, every night, when her longing to be free left her in tears in the darkness. But this. This is not how she wanted her freedom. The distrustful stare stayed fixed on the other woman from where Freya sat. ]

Why did you bring me here? [ Somehow she doubted it was for a tea party. ]

In the game of life, Freya was just a disposable pawn. Insignificant and often in the way. Kadaj couldn’t care less about the freakish hybrid.

He walked past the two, disinterested in whatever they were going to do. Bellatrix on the other hand had some use. It’d be worth it put up with her for the moment-even if she was annoyingly obnoxious. Kadaj couldn’t see why Yazoo befriended her in the first place. Sure, she was cruel and could be manipulated, but that’s where her usefulness really ended.

"To hurt you." The young remnant smirked in response to the girl's question.

He casually rifled through the miscellaneous junk in the manor. He hoped to find something interesting but it was more than likely just distracting him from boredom.

The slightest turn at movement just out of her sightline - and the slightest smile. Rifle all you want, just take care to avoid the curses that may be lurking beneath the most benign looking of objects, Kadaj.

If they even affect your kind at all.

But she's more than willing to forgive such behavior - it's nothing she wouldn't do in someone else's home and hearth, and right now there are better, brighter things to attend to.

(Shivering, frightened things, oh yes.)

"Was that it? Surely it wasn't to hurt this poor child, was it? No, no, that can't be the only reason."

Taptaptapping the wand against her palm as she takes a step toward the girl. Hello and welcome home. Test us out, mistress, we are waiting and live to serve.

"Can you think of another reason, Freya, that you might be worth all this trouble?"

What, no struggling? Not even trying to loose the ties that bind? Or do you know just how futile it is? That one would have your eyes out as soon as breathe, wouldn't he? Would they grow back, she wonders, in a place such as ( ... )

[ Freya is old hat at being captured. She knows how to be patient, to wait for a chance to escape, to watch and to listen. Like she does right now, a tension in her small body as brown eyes stare first at Kadaj, barely able to suppress the snarl. No, more importantly it's Bellatrix that has her attention. ]

"No." [ Flatly said, but already she was trying to think. What use could a monster be? ] "Unless you want to sell me to someone. That's what they always do."

[ Or worse, turn her loose on an innocent. She drew in a nervous breath, eyes flicking this way and that, nervous habit. She could feel the bindings beneath her fingers briefly, but she didn't make an attempt to escape yet. ]
