[Tseng had been having tea. With the cat. Originally Rufus had been involved but then that hadn't worked out very well and so he was left with Ruffles. Ruffles, fortunately, sat in front of his cup and lapped at the tea politely when Tseng poured it for him.

At the knock on the door, he knew who it was. Very few people would bother coming to visit.] Stay.

[Ruffles just looked at him and went back to his tea. Tseng opened the door, nodding in greeting to her, eying her offering curiously.] Ms. Brown.

[She really wished people would stop addressing her so formally. Arthur....and Tseng. Although Tseng was always formal. It was almost like he didn't know how to relax.]

I made some waffles and thought I'd bring you some.

[A small, nervous smile graced her lips.]

I hope you don't mind.

[Waffles. It seems like such a weird offering. But he backs up and gestures her inside the apartment anyway.]

Of course, come in. We're just having tea if you'd like to sit with us. I couldn't send you on your way without offering you some tea and...your waffles.

[He goes to get forks and a plate, placing them on the low table, sinking to his knees beside it because they always have tea at the Wutai-style table.]

[Her nervous smile changes to a natural smile. She was glad she wasn't turned away. Then maybe she can be able to talk to him about that incident. She'll just sneak it into the conversation.]

Hi Ruffles. [She greets the small kitten and pets him. She just adores him. Quite jealous that Tseng had a cat. She almost wanted to steal Ruffles.]
