When: After Mami's fight with Bellatrix.

What: Quatre and Kay come to Mami's aid.

[ He is unable to find the Key of Solomon, the book with all the necessary holy spells and incantations required for dealing with witches, but there is no time to search for it, not with Mami being distraught and injured. ]

[ She is his partner, and he's sworn himself to protecting her...although so far he's only managed once to stop her tears, and was absent when she could have used him most. ]

[ No use crying over the past, however. What he could do was be there for Mami now, and provide a quick means of escort to a medical professional, or protection from whatever dark and evil forces were lurking nearby. ]

[ Kay was quick to remove his horse from the Patrol stables, and he was even quicker to leave the grounds, racing through Anatole toward the alley near the ruins his friend had said she would be in. ]

[ It takes time to find the right one, but when he does, and when he spots her, he slows his horse down to a light canter and approaches. A low murmur escapes his lips upon the moment of dismount. ]

...Mami.

Can you move?

[quatre had a bit of a head start but still arrives later. luckily, not too late to miss mami leaving the alleyway. he has a medical kit with him, knowing first aid and the basics of trauma care. (thank goodness for sisters that doctors, he supposes.)]

How is she?

[kay is, well, surprising to see. quatre thinks it's nathan at first, but he's dressed much differently. he carries himself differently, too, and his accent is less placeable. ...but it looks nathan! despite that, quatre puts mami first. he can poke at the doppelganger later.]

[Seeing the boys come rushing toward her like knights in shining armor (which was halfway accurate in Kay's case) amuses her enough to make her giggle. She immediately regrets this as she's reminded of her bruised ribs. At least, she hoped they were bruised. She pulls herself up to stand on her feet, trying to conceal the fact that she was using the wall for support.]

Goodness, you'd think I was dying with the way you two rushed over here. I'm fine, really.

[Except her right leg is visibly shaking and looks like it's about to collapse. And her right arm is still bleeding. And she's pretty banged up overall. After all, Bellatrix did send her flying into a few walls.]
