Where: Elric & Summers Muffin Alchemy, Inc.
Format: Action
What: Gau wanders into the muffin shop one afternoon, and hopefully will come out of the experience with tasty treats and/or gainful employment.
Warnings: None that I can think of! Likely dorkiness.

( I'm not so sure I want to try some of those flavors, but... )

[She's unenthusiastically but very methodically arranging frosted muffins (Muffincakes? Cupmuffins? What the hell are these, anyway?) in the leftmost case. Bent forward, mostly ducked under the counter, but possibly visible through the glass.]

Uh!

[She manages to not jump at the sound, steps back and carefully extricates herself from the rewarding work of baked good separation (can't have the jalapeno ones touching the---

---well, anything, really.)

and stands up. It's the first time all day she hasn't hit her head whilst executing such a difficult move (you try fitting in there and reaching all the way to the front ones, they always slide.) but she's totally oblivious to the fact that she's got silver frosting in her hair.]

Welcome to Elric and Summers Muffin Alchemy Incorporated. Are you here for a giftbasket? Because then it's welcome to Anatole, I guess.

[Eyeing that sword a little. Anyone new is suspicious to her these days.]

[He can't help but smile at the girl. She's younger than himself, he thinks, and she looks like she's been fighting with the stock, a little.]

Ah, giftbasket? Do you give those out for new people in this world?

[Well that certainly sounds like a nice idea. Like those files that are sent out too, those are great. It's an interesting world, so far, he thinks.

He steps closer to the counter, to her, nods his head a little.]

I'm new here, yes. And this is the best-smelling place I've seen so far.

I do. There's a committee and stuff. Which I'm on. You can totally grab one if you want. There's money in it. Not a lot, but a little? And if you're on the Patrol you get free breakfast.

[Gau bounces on his heels a little, because that's just nice, to receive something like that. And he could use the money, at least until he gets a proper job.]

Mm, well, I do know a few bread recipes involving jalapenos that come out quite good, actually! I used to have this 'food of the world' recipe book when I was a kid, and...

[He might be getting a little excited. Talking about cooking does that to him. But, wait! She introduced herself, and he hasn't yet!
