[Cara | Riza | Roy] rahl_loyalist October 12 2010, 12:54:06 UTC
Cara had every intention of continuing her search for Cloud, but the Mord Sith had been unable to ignore Riza's plea. As loath as she was to admit it, Kahlan's words about 'trying to be more compassionate' had judged at her mind. Cara had just been glad that the Mother Confessor hadn't been around to witness such a display. There was no doubt that Kahlan would have had that little knowing smirk on her face.

No. Now wasn't the time to think of such things, and as she approached the outlander building, the Mord Sith focused her attention on what had to be done. Riza was in need of her ability, and just like with Cloud and Zack, she would offer it without question.

She saw the other blonde waiting out front as she neared and continued her approach. Subtly inclining her head, Cara coolly said, "Let's go."

Riza almost felt a sense of relief at the sight of the other blonde woman. The fact that Cara hadn't even tried to tease, insult, or argue with her when she had asked for her help had thrown her off more than a little. She had expected strife and annoyance and extended negotiations in order to obtain the Mord Sith's help, but she had agreed so easily that Riza was almost afraid she had imagined it. She nodded slightly at the other woman and pulled the door open to lead Cara in to the Colonel's room ( ... )

The moment Riza had left the room, Roy let himself flop onto his side on the bed. He hated being sick, but this was too much. It not only sapped his strength and energy, but it left him looking as though he'd repeatedly thrown himself down a flight of stairs then splattered himself with tar here and there. At least the marks hadn't shown up on his face; everywhere else was easily concealable. He'd learned the hard way, though, that attempting to cauterize open sores did nothing but dot his skin with burn scars in addition to the stigma.

He was contemplating one last futile attempt at cauterization when the door opened. At the sound of his Lieutenant's voice, he raised his head, eyed the two women, and somehow managed to keep his mouth shut, waiting on them to make the first move to explain what was going on.

He knew Riza. He didn't know the other one -Cara?

...but at least she was attractive.

Cara had said nothing in regards to the offer of thanks. It was simething she wasn't in need of, and something she would never ask for - it was their choice to how they reacted to her duties. She would do what needed to be done regardless.

She followed Riza silently to the room, qnd once the door was open, stepped in moments behind the other woman. While the sickness might not have been visible, it was obvious this colonel was infected. It would take next to nothing to heal it from him, and without so much as a word, the Mord Sith began heading over towards the bed.

"This won't take long," she blankly offered the pair despite her cool gaze remaining fixated on Roy.

[Cara | Riza | Dawn] rahl_loyalist October 12 2010, 13:00:13 UTC
Both Roy and Utena had been healed of the stigma affecting their bodies. She didn't voice her observation, but it appeared as though Riza had calmed down considerably now that she knew her companions would be safe. That didn't mean that the Mord Sith didn't take any level of enjoyment at seeing Riza's reaction when she'd healed Roy in the first place. If the other woman reacted so poorly in regards to a simple kiss, Cara was almost tempted to see just how Riza would react for something far less innocent.

It was just a thought, however, and one she kept herself entertained with while they made their way over towards the ruins. Glancing at the other blonde with a playfully arrogant smirk, Cara said, "I do hope you're not going to react that way with every person I heal."

Riza scanned the ruins with sharp eyes, looking for any sign of Dawn. The last of the heavy tension in her body would finally dissipate once they found her and Cara cured her of the disease. Dawn was probably the worst of the three of them, looking brainwashed as well as seriously ill in that video she had sent ( ... )

"Riza?"

She's standing, still in her dirty nightshirt, the stigma-stain climbing both arms and her left leg. Shadows have begun to thread their way up her throat and obto her cheeks, and the circles under her eyes are grey.

Dawn backs up a pace as she sees Cara, looking back and forth between them. "Who's with you? A-are you here to help? I need to find ...something. But I don't know what it is."

Blinking now as she listens to her thoughts, or quite possibly, the will of someone else. "I need to. Mother? But."

And back to Riza, smiling a little. "Have you seen the water? You should. See it."

She eyes Cara. "Both of you."

Riza's reaction only further drew out Cara's amusement. She really was far too easy to provoke a reaction out of, and obviously the world that the other blonde came from was one as reserved as Cloud's. It was an amusing thought. Whatever else she was going to say disappeared as the one Riza wished healed came into view.

There was no hesitation in picking up her pace when Riza began to run. Easily matching her pace, the Mord Sith's attention lingered on the young woman ahead of her. The sickness was apparent on the exposed skin, and while it appeared to have spread to a large amount of her body, Cara showed no reaction.

Her pace slowed back to a walk as they neared. The words Dawn spoke were ones she'd heard a number of times from those others who'd been infected. She had no interest in whatever this contaminated water was, or this mother they all mumbled.

"We can after we're done here," Returning the stare with an impassive one of her own, Cara moved to walk ahead of Riza as she closed the distance between herself and Dawn.
