Um... [She falls silent for a moment. She's never got a response like this from anyone here before, and though two of her sort-of-friends have also answered the transmission, it's kind of hard to ask them for advice on it. So there's a long pause before she responds.]

[There are a number of things behind that brusque and somewhat rude response, not the least of which is the headache. Without that he might have been a little more polite...might. As it is, he is in a terrible mood and in no state of mind to be tactful with shy people. His answer is curt and his tone flat.]

It's an insane explanation, but it's true. Things happen here that wouldn't happen normally. After awhile, you just stop asking.

There's a ten-ton bison here, and it flies, against all physics. Go look behind the Patrol House if you don't believe me. Kid's even selling rides on it for a few Ivories. I've been frozen up to my waist in a block of ice that appeared out of nowhere, and the mist really does make you hallucinate.

Like I said, I gave up trying to rationalize this stuff.

[The word is out of his mouth before he can stop it and then he feels a bit of a fool. It's a pointless question, a waste of time to ask. But he recovers from it quickly and takes a few moments to process the question and decide whether to answer it. Maybe it's that her tone appears to be more of curiosity than concern--which would likely have been immediately off-putting--or maybe it's the thought that if she's experienced something similar or knows something about it, maybe she can tell her something useful]

I experienced the same upon my arrival in this place, only they continued to occur, and frequently. They still do. It may be premature, but I hadn't heard of anyone else experiencing a similar pain until now. Not like that.

[ A pause. She's contemplating whether or not to extend a helping hand or to... well, she can't very well ignore the possibility. Sure, some people arrive with headaches, but migraines? She frowns at the thought. ]

Are you in the Outlander Community Block? I've got some medication. It's not... did you say Aspirin? It's not that, but it should help. I can bring you some, if you'd like.

...you've never heard of Aspirin. [He almost says "what kind of rock have you been living under?", but refrains.]

That other guy was bringing me some medicine but if it doesn't work that would be appreciated.
