What is it that makes you guys more capable, then?
I've heard of human possession by hollows before, but it's never as common as all that. Only Menos are sentient enough to masquerade as humans, as far as I understand, anyway.

...Hollows are the monsters on my world. But unlike the yoma you were talking about, all hollows were once human. They are created from those souls that linger in the world of the living too long after death and lose their hearts. They all have a hole in their chests, because of it. You could consider them our failures, in a way--the ones we couldn't get to in time. But as much as we try to prevent hollows from being born we purify them as well.
You remember I said I wasn't human either, right? The swords we shinigami carry---our zanpakutou--are the only things that can cleanse the sins of a hollow and allow it to pass on.
