[Between waking up in an odd place and not knowing where his younger brother was, Rin was incredible grateful for a welcome message from the Forge. Or, rather, from a man who seemed sane.]

How interesting are we talking here? I need to get back home. [He really really needed to get back home...]

Well... I haven't seen many examples of how this place works yet, but I've heard about bears and other monsters in the Mist, and that a lot of the water isn't safe to drink or use.

And I don't suggest you try leaving by going through the mist. It's hazardous to your health.

I haven't seen a single bear in this place - or demons for that matter - ... you make the mist sound as unsafe as the water. [Smile sloooowly slipping off his face...]

Mmm, someone was attacked by a bear a couple weeks ago... I only heard a rumor of the other thing, no idea what it was. And I'd say it's more dangerous... some idiot just tried to find a way through it, and he's lucky to be alive. He nearly died of blood loss.

It only recently happened. Previously, the flow was steady.

The only rule of this city is uncertainty. I would advise you against allowing yourself to grow too expectant of the way of things.

I'm actually from a pretty unpredictable place... but I'll keep it in mind, thanks.

Yeah. It's been my job for... a while now, and in my experience you can never have too many doctors.

In case of what?

In case there's an emergency, in case a disaster happens, in case half the doctors get sick.

There are plenty of ways things can go wrong; having more people you can count on if the worst happens is better than less.
