[The first sound the Forge makes is a short whoosh of air, followed by a soft thud. The holder has dropped it, being as he is both incredibly disoriented and a bit tired. The screen is dark; it's landed face-down. There is a brief silence, before the sound of footsteps, muffled and hesitant.]

Jabberwock? My Chain.
[Obviously...]
Who are you?

Haven't seen ever. Thought...something else. From my world.
[She pauses, relaxing. At least he wasn't...dangerous. Well, no more then usual.]
Miata. You?

He also doesn't really want to socialize, but.]
... Leo.
What did you think he was?

So, another new arrival, hmm? Welcome to the city of Anatole, and the world of... well, it beats me, really. I haven't found out what it's called.

acknowledge any of the rest of that. Oni? What?]
Let me guess; I can't simply walk through that thing again and return to my business.

And nope! Can't do. It's broken somehow. Which means we're all stuck here in this world until we're sent back or die, I think. Well, die without coming back. I'm not sure how that works.

I can't just stay here.

[Under his breath. Bobby's seen plenty of weird stuff during his years as a hunter. But he can't remember the last time he saw something that weird.]

Can I help you.

It doesn't concern you.

[Wait, he knows that voice. And those names certainly, but the voice.]
...Leo? Elliot Nightray's servant. Why are you...
[Calling for the sewer rat? And Jabberwock? What's going on here?]
-Never mind. Are you... [He was at Yura's that night as well. Break still has no idea how all that turned out. And now latest to show up is Leo? Someone so insignificant, after all this time?] All right?
[ooc: SORRY THIS IS SO LATE LJ has messed up my tagging mojo sob. ALSO BEHOLD THE IRONY]

[--Oh. Okay. That voice. So that girl before who mentioned a Break did mean the same one. Leo doesn't have much of an opinion on Break, which is enough reason to not want to deal with him, but why would he bring up Elliot-- that is really not an issue Leo really can deal with right now.]
What do you want.
[Of course, since he has no reason to care about anything related to Pandora, he has no reason to be polite, right? Right. And he has that bad habit of listening to Vincent, lately, which doesn't help. Too bad his dull stare at the Forge is futile.]

[Jeez, Leo, that's no way to greet him. We're all in this together, right?
Well, no. Being removed as far as Break is from the situation (ten months and counting), he views - figuratively, of course - the escalating situation in his world with the clarity of hindsight. Everyone had their own reasons for being involved. Break's involved loyalty to the Rainsworths and a foolish promise to some sort of demigod. Leo's, he had thought, involved loyalty to Elliot.
Elliot. Who might have been the Headhunter. But Break could never confirm that, because Gil had been listening to him, hadn't checked for the clockwork seal on his chest. It was Elliot Break had focused on as a suspect that night. Leo he had forgotten about entirely.
Still. That's no reason to be quite so hostile.]
I can't ask about your well-being without being regarded with suspicion? I know my reputation at Pandora isn't thaaat stellar, but I'm not just an incompetent, you know.
[Despite the slight drawing out of words, there's almost nothing of his usual ( ... )

I'm not suspicious.
[There is a difference between suspicion and just plain old bad attitudes, Break. Leo is the new Duke of the Bad Attitude house, as it so happens. Someone must have missed passing Break the newsletter.
God, picking up this stupid device was a bad idea from the start.]
All right. [He doesn't mean to say it with that twinge of derision, not--entirely.] Yes, I'm all right.
