002. [accidental video]

[the video begins with a start - and at first all you see is a sheet of silver hair and a pale shoulder, draped in a pale blue gown. It's light - almost sheer - but at least she's not exposing her breast this time. Beside her, a green and bronze dragon is stretched across the grass and broken stone. She is in the ruins, perhaps? Sansa?

[She glances around, and locates the Forge. ...oops.]

Yes... it seems this world gives as much as it steals.

If only all places gave instead of took, I think...

[It's given her too much already, she feels. And what line of thinking she's starting to go down is perhaps folly, but it's her father and she can't not.]

Your magic.

...would it work on a man? Or a woman? Do you think you could...

[An interesting power. Not of any personal use to him given his ability to regenerate, but certainly it is not a power without its other uses.]

[Isley is silent for a long moment, then clears his throat, hands folded together before him.]

A most remarkable gift.

[And of the hand and heart that wields the power? Perhaps...also remarkable.]

A gift as new to me as this world.

[She watches the screen for a moment, and then glances away.]

I should thank you for your advice when I first arrived. It was difficult to hear at the time, and I am still not certain that I agree with these rules, so to speak. But...

I've no wish to hurt those who were never, themselves, to blame.

[Only those that were involved, it seems.]

[Well, Isley can't fault her for that. Even if it does mean that Daenerys could wind up in some precarious situations, depending upon the course her actions take.]

I am most pleased my words were helpful to you...and I must say, I am impressed. If this ability is new to you, you demonstrate a talent for controlling it as remarkable as the gift is itself.

Many of those bestowed with new power do not discover it for some time, never mind harnessing it so quickly.

You are a quick study, Daenerys.

[And that fact, above all else, he likes the most about her.]

I don't care to leave potential undeveloped. One never knows when a given skill may become useful, or even necessary.

And thank you.

No, I haven't had the honor. You've only recently arrived and I've been a bit... occupied.

So, hello! I - am known as the Trickster.

A pleasure to meet you, my dear.

The Trickster?

That's an odd name. More similar to a stage name than a true one. Are you a performer, Trickster?

No... I discovered it by accident only a few days ago.

It's difficult to say whether it came with the world, or lie dormant within me before my arrival.

This world's mysteries are seemingly without an end. I do admit that seems the more likely explanation. Though my family might call themselves dragons, I don't believe any have been known to actually spit fire.

...the city seems both curious and interesting. Once I changed to a more locally acceptable garb, I found the population much friendlier... though it may be because they no longer realize I am not one of them.

Ah. The Mist?
