[ The video starts with the Forge slightly out of focus, instead zooming in on a puff of smoke. It curls around, forming strange, ambigious shapes in the wind, before it finally blows away and lets the lens focus in on its true target, Gilbert ]

Does time pass differently here? [ There's slight desperation in his voice, but really, isn't ( Read more... )

As in time isn't going by back home - [This is awkward, so awkward. Okay, he can do this. Completely can do this. ]

[ He quiets, casting his gaze off to the side. ] I wanted to ask you about something.

That...is a very good question. I would suppose it runs on its own timeframe, much separate from any others for all who have been brought here. [That much he's come to figure ever since speaking with Oscar...]

...oh? Very well. You...do sound like you know me- but I don't believe I'd ever caught your name.

[Although he does kind of strike Jack as familiar, now that he gets another look...]

I suppose it's not impossible that time should pass differently. Though it's more likely we're just on a separate timeline altogether.

Separate time line? [ For some reason, that adds more gravity to the situation - more confusion, even. ]

Separate, yes. In that we can most likely stay here for years and then be returned to our homes with no time having passed there. Or we could be here for a month and return with years having gone by.

[That sounds kind of bad...]

I only mean that the amount of time we spend here most likely has no effect on how much time may or may not pass in the worlds where we come from.

[Oh look, you're about to have a serious conversation with Oscar, Gilbert. The impossible can happen!]

What do you mean?
