Would you tell me something about your world?

[Oh...]

[Oh, Miss Priscilla. That is a very interesting question, if not a bit much. Stories are hard, and politics are a good deal over her head at most points in time, and what little sense of religion some people have is tainted by the mass amount of people who twist it to their own preferences.]

[And their own profit.]

[But...]

there was a very big church .

A big church? Really?

You know... I've never seen a big church. There's only one in the land where I come from, and it's in a city I'm not allowed to go to.

What was the church like?

well ... it was big .

[She doesn't know terms like antechamber or sermon, and upon first impression, "big" is what hits most people, Nill would imagine.]

[But...Miss Priscilla seems to be asking for more detail.]

there was a big room full of pews , and lots of books . religious books, but they were pretty dusty . not a lot of people came in and the big rooms were pretty empty .

there were big windows of all different colors, with pictures on them . and when the sun was setting and the light shone through those windows, the whole room was a rainbow .

[She closes her eyes and listens, and imagines, and pictures... all of it. The colors spilling over the walls, the light in the windows, the dust...]

...was it an active church?

[He has the urge to rattle off something as harsh as it's true. But there's a longing in her tone he can't quite brush off yet.]

... Well. There's a water garden where lilies bloom. [and a pause] And we only have one religion.

That sounds beautiful. At least it is in my head! I'm not sure what water garden would really look like.

...what religion is that? Do you mind talking about it?

A lot like a normal garden, honestly. It isn't underwater, that's just what it's called. The... the seasons change much slower in general at home, so the flowers are out longer.

It doesn't have a name. It's-- well. A bit repressive.

...if it's a normal garden, why call it a water garden?

A... repressive religion. Hm.

Really? Doesn't that much conflict on such a large scale make it a bit... well, unstable?

Is there a cause for this war?

I don't think there's much special about mine.

[There's a pause, then a small smile.]

Although, every year the Queen and King have a festival and the big event is when the whole town lights lanterns and send them off into the sky. It's said that they hope the lanterns' light will lead their lost princess back home to them.

What happened to their daughter?

An entire sky full.

She disappeared when she was an infant.

Why should I? [ Sorry, lady, but Elle's not big on the sharing-with-strangers thing. Usually. ]

[...blink blink. She didn't really expect that!]

[Priscilla taps the side of the Forge.]

Well... you don't really... have to. Although I'm not sure how it would hurt you to try. I didn't mean to ask anything personal, after all.

That depends entirely on why you're asking. And if it's just general curiosity, why do you care? It's not like it's going to help you with anything.

Curiosity, really. Are you always this suspicious?
