[At first there is only white, white and a pair of red eyes. They're quickly pushed away and replaced by the face of a young man with a rugged appearance. His grey eyes peer down at the Forge the same way that many do the first time they use one - confused and maybe just a little awed. Jon's just gotten one of his own, despite waking up in a cage a

[Hey. There are a lot of walls in the ruins. And in Anatole. She hasn't even seen all of them.]
I ...don't think that war is here. It's sort of war-free at the moment, kind of in a wind-down after the bleeding people eaty elves that came out of the mi---

[He arches a brow, looks down at Longclaw and back up to her. It's still so weird seeing a girl in a little box.]
Do you know about swords?

Here being Anatole, as you've probably been told a bunch of times.
It's true. As weird as it sounds, it's totally true. Unless you're talking to liars, which also happens, but ...mostly it doesn't.
It's really too bad that there isn't some kind of lie-ometer attached to the Forge, or lie indicator like ...nose growing or, I don't know ...turning blue in the face or something, but...
...that's a Forge, by the way. And I do. Know about swords. Not as much as I'd like to know because no matter how much people think it's awesome to give me pointers, it still comes down to stay inside Dawn or get behind me, Dawn, or...
...Dawn is me, by the way. [As in stop talking, Dawn. That one's popular, too, and I'm sure you can see why.]
I haven't seen anyone getting their march on, but I can keep an eye out.

[He looks kind of amused though. That is definitely someone's little sister, especially since she speaks of people protecting her.]
I can give you a really good pointer, if you'd like.

[he wasn't sure you would, actually but uh. let's not say that out loud.]
You're in Anatole now. I... don't really think it's south of anything. If we're fighting wars here, it's not the kind with bannermen.

Then what kind of war is it and how do you know where loyalties lie?

[...hooboy.]
That's for you to decide. Though, personally I'd suggest starting with beating up whoever's trying to kill you at the moment.
The thing about this place is, we don't belong here. None of us do. The natives don't love us, but we can't leave. [Willingly.] And you've seen what can come out of the ruins. ...So I guess you could say the war is just for survival.
But you don't have to fight it alone. If you ever need anything...

[He listens to Angel, and the answer seems simple to him.]
Then we should all stand together, as brothers against whatever forces hold us here and those things that would attack.
