I have little to offer there, either. I haven't been here long myself, but there are a few things, such as avoiding the misty areas and ruins and I would advise from venturing into the Undercity if you've no reason to go.

If you are looking for a place to stay, or perhaps another person, a place to start would be the clinic. I've heard many of the children and newcomers have sought refuge there.
