Sure, Kunsel. That would be fine. I can make time for you, whenever you like.

Well, I have to go meet Zack for some reason...he's being kind of vague about it, but that's okay. On the way there is it alright if I stop in?

I can stay for a few minutes and we can chat and, um. The other thing.

[ He says Zack is being vague, and then he goes and does it himself. ]

That sounds fine. I'd like to see you.

[Really, actually see you. And see how you're doing.

His vagueness is only mildly worrisome...]

... the 'other thing?'

Good, because...I haven't gotten to see much of you since the auction.

[ There is an awkward pause, and a moment where he rubs the back of his neck a bit sheepishly, although only soft shuffling on his end can be heard. ]

Friends should see each other more regularly than that, so...that's what I'm aiming for.

Um, the other thing is...well, it's not a bad thing! But I'm not going to tell you, you've gotta wait. It'll be worth it, I promise.

Some of us are trying to figure out what the dreams might mean.

It might help if you would describe yours in a bit more detail. Do you remember who or what was wearing the mask/s? In what context did you see them?

It was strange. It wasn't ME in the dream, like I was seeing
through eye eyes of someone else, and I felt what they did, saw
what they did, and so on. I was...they were scrounging
for food and money, and attacked someone out of desperation. The
person, or whatever it was, attacked back. Dressed all in black,
chased them down, and it had this mask with cloth covered eyes.
It was fast. Faster then...me or them, or whoever. And toward the
end of the dream, the one being chased reached out for that
mask and ripped it off, and there was hinges. The jaw was wooden,
or looked to be wooden. Glass eyes.
A fall from a roof top followed that, and that's all I remember. I
woke up after that point.
I wish I could give better detail, but it's a blur inside my mind
whenever I try to recall it. I just keep remembering those eyes.

That's very helpful, thank you.

1. "A fall from a rooftop" -- Did the chase happen in a city? If so, do you remember what city? Or anything specific about your surroundings?

2. Could you give a description of the figure in black? the mask?

1. Yes, the chase took place in a city. Anatole, to be
exact. I remember an alley...but not much else. I'm sorry
that I can't be of more help in that area.

2. Physically the figure appeared to be male, and beneath
his mask, his face was wooden, complete with glass eyes,
hinges and a mouth that appeared to drop open, almost like
a marionette's. The mask itself was black, all black, all
one piece, covering everything, even the eyes. It made the
area where the sockets would be appear especially dark.

Who needs sleep when you can work, though, right?

[Beautiful. It's all she can do to keep from wiping a tear from her eye.]

{He'd like to hire you to jump face-first into a woodchipper. Alas.}

Seems everyone's been having these... dreams. I've yet to.

Consider yourself lucky...although, they're not all that bad. It just feels a little invasive, is all.

[ Thoughtful chin tap. ]

[ You'd know all about that, wouldn't you? ]

Physical invasion is one thing. The invasion of one's subconscious is quite another.

{NAAAAAH.}

Still, I fail to see what's so frightening about a mask. You wear one, I wear one. Most people wear them. Some don't even realize it.

[ ah. that's good to know, the fact that he's trustworthy. or at least seems it. (and it's not inaccurate either, is it? he hasn't lied in any line of questions he's received) ]

Senz'altro, what do you need?

[ there's a slight amused noise. ]

Good to hear, I'll keep the offer in mind.

You know, the offer was serious, right? Or if you'd prefer something else, just say so. You did me a huge favor, really helped me out...

...so the last thing I should be doing is asking for something else, but I really don't know who else to ask.

[ He clears his throat. ]

So anyway, I...think the Mist did something to me.

And I want to learn how to control it. I don't know if you've got much experience with that sort of thing at all, or if you can be of any actual help, but I figure anyone is better than no one...because you should at least be able to tell me when it's working and when it's not and that'll help me figure out if I'm learning to control it.

I'm really sorry if this is at all vague or weird in any way.

It's no trouble, really. [ plus, he doesn't start charging until he has go actually kill someone for his friends...

A slight pause. It's NOT something he really has experience with, unless you count his 'talent' or the Pieces, but Kunsel's asking foe help, more or less, and he has no reason to refuse. If he took out Malfatto, he must be worth keeping an eye on-- for better or for worse. why does it feel like having recruits still? ]

Very well. Do you have a meeting place in mind or...?

Someplace secluded?

But that's actually hard to come by here. There's always somebody somewhere. And Dismas is out of the question because of the restrictions that apply, so that narrows down our choices even further.

I think...I think the best bet would be out near the lighthouse, to be honest. Don't hear tell of folks headed out that way all that often [ if ever ] and being on the coast, well...we might get fog cover.

Of course, we might get attacked by stuff, too. But I think we can handle most anything, right? Especially being close to town, still. In the event anything seriously goes awry, I mean.

[ Pause. ]

U-unless you have a better suggestion, maybe?

[ Because his house is out of the question what with having roommates, one of them being particularly social. ]
