[The Forge clatters down to the floor, presenting a worm's eye view of leather trousers-- leading to a cursing Balthier clutching his left arm. There's a lot of red in that previously white linen sleeve. Unaware of the video feed, he simply sits on the bed. He's tied off his upper arm with what appears to be a spare belt, like a tourniquet.]

[Balthier's head jerks up at the voice. Wonderful. One of these days, he really ought to do something about that video button on that blasted Forge. But much as it pains him to admit it, he probably could use some help. Healing arts were hardly his expertise.]

Do you have any experience with... this?

[Balthier tries to show his arm, but it's clear it's giving him a lot of pain to move it. Apparently, something had sliced straight to the bone, his flesh ragged where the slice had gone through, and still bleeding sluggishly. He'd bound it in his sleeve, but that apparently hasn't done much more than slow the blood.]

[Because while he knows how to sew wounds up, he's never done that for muscle and it looks almost as if it needs to be stitched up as well.]

[Balthier complies readily. He's not a masochist. His breathing's a little more labored, however.]

[The pain is enough to decide things for him, however. He grits his teeth a bit and manages to say:] If it won't trouble you too much. I don't believe I'm supposed to see this much of my own bone while still living.

Let's say I prefer my monsters at a rather long range. [He's apparently trying hard to disguise the pain in his voice.] If you have a strong potion or any [a tiny grunt.] idea what to do with an arm cut to the bone, certainly.
