So I gotta be out of this apartment within a month, huh? Guess that means I should really start looking into getting a job so I can actually afford to leave. And eat. Pretty straightforward concept: Traditionally, you give thanks for the things you have and eat a giant meal. The giving thanks part doesn't happen so much anymore. Everyone's too busy bitching about what they want.

The only thing that I have heard of that seems to resemble something of a police force consists of patrols to keep the monsters from getting into the City.

I would not be surprised either. While handling the monsters may be important, the need for handling any criminals within the city needs to be handled as well.

With how the natives treat us, we'd be doing good to have some of our own on the force. It's like... black cops in black neighbourhoods. Self-protection.

If you haven't eaten, you should maybe talk to Nagi. He owns a ramen shop and he's one of us, I'm sure he'd be willing to help. Or I could buy you a bowl.

Aside from Priscilla's Patrol, which doesn't pay, I don't know of any police force here.

Someone else has mentioned that holiday... what's thanks giving?

Yeah, I heard about the patrol. I'll probably volunteer, but not having anyone controlling the people within the city doesn't sit well with me. No use protecting them from monsters if we can't even protect them from each other.

Thanksgiving? [He barks out a hard laugh.] It's a holiday where people are supposed to give thanks for the things they have. Been commercialized into an excuse to take the day off and eat more than you need though.
