I think it goes part foolishness and into the suicidal, presenting a scenario fraught with danger and windows for Isley to take advantage of. Aside from that, you leave yourself vulnerable to particular interests he might take. [Riful did say that Priscilla was Isley's "woman," after all.]
Your rules make the situation complex, however, and given my position as a deserter, I may fall into that endangered category that you were careful to highlight.
I won't really argue about the foolishness. But he isn't going to do anything to me.
...and yes, you were definitely one of them. In fact, nearly every friend I have from our world falls into that category. It isn't something that I like to talk about, really.
When Helen first arrived here... she lied to me about her status within the Organization for months, because she knew my duty, and that I would fulfill it regardless of my feelings about her. This has changed but... it's a universal change. It has to be. Otherwise, I become a hypocrite, and there's no trusting someone like that.
It would be a misuse of my position, carrying that kind of bias.
I don't like it. Should something go wrong, he's in a unit that contains several humans whom he could dispose of at will, many of which would be incapable of fighting such a monster. They would be defenseless should he decide that he's hungry.
[A long pause. What she wants to say is fighting against her morals here, and it's not siting well with her.]
On the other hand... it keeps him within your sight and reach should he do something that would require he be taken down. It's a double-edged sword.
What you're asking is hard to digest because it means going against everything we've been taught and everything we know. And it's hard to see him as anything but a monster, but... wouldn't it be as though he's just fighting to defend his food source from other creatures that would try and take it from him? Even if that's not his intention, it would be hard for those that know him to see it as anything else.
And then what about the others? If Isley's approved, what do you do if the others ask to join?

Riful is a criminal. And Luciela won't ask anything of the sort. That is something, I have absolute confidence in.
[For one thing, she's far too lazy.]
[A little breath.]
Dietrich, everything you're saying is... I understand. And it's something I've been saying to myself for some time now. Although the truth is no one here does know him - they know of him. I'm not going to claim to, myself, although he and I have at least had civil conversations.

That monster...
[Congratulations, Priscilla. You've disabled Deneve's ability to speak in complete sentences.]

[Yes, she's there. Staring at the forge in what seems like the longest, most awkward silence in almost as long as she can remember, even for her.]
Priscilla.

He ...asked you to do this?

He did. Yes.
...it's not something I would have asked him to do.

Um. But really, he's... not going to eat the--
[Not that her saying it will really help much. She sighs.]
Like I said, it's controlled. But I won't pretend to be ignorant about the reason for people's concern.

Oh, there should be yelling. She should be yelling.
Actually, yelling is the least of the things she wants to do.
But this is over the Forge. And Helen isn't as eloquent as most.
So in the end, all she can say is...]
Right.
I'm out.

All right. As I said, I understand.
