----I know, okay?
I am being careful I'm being super care--
---ow!
Crap.
[Cut to video. Misty, ruiny video. Or, it is when the forge is righted. Rustling noises, like the sounds of someone brushing themselves off after falling. And like a gunslinger's holster swinging into frame, a black leather-clad arm swoops down to haul her to her feet.]
Thanks.

[Fwoosh!]
---oh, god
[Spike's coat can be heard flapping, and he may have just snatched Dawn up into his arms and dodged another bolt. She's kinda screaming as he's carrying her, but they're definitely on the move. No more fwooshing sounds after a moment. Just super labored "breathing". Spike, don't you know you don't have to do that?]
I'm good.

Ta, whoever that is, but we've got enough to do at the moment without a ringing phone!
[Faint grunt sound of Dawn being set on her feet, pause for Spike to take a good look and whiff around, then for Dawn (not the peanut gallery)] We're clear.

[On feet now. Woah. Shaky legs are shaky. But she talks to the forge, anyway.]
Yeah. We're fine. No holes or anything.
[And back to Spike]
Thanks. [She knows thanks doesn't cover it. It was stupid of her to want to go in there, even if there were missing people. But in a way, it was kind of ...fun?]

We're okay!
[Spike might notice a really dopey smile fighting its way onto Dawn's face, past the fear and slight embarrassmement.]
