...

I need information. I won't dance around the little details and I have no need for formalities. I've already spoken with someone in a pub about the basic things-- I'm just curious if anyone on this network has something to say that that man might have overlooked.

What do you already know?

[He's not all too wordy either. But that's exactly why he's asking. So he doesn't end up repeating anything.]

This is Anatole, a city that kidnaps people from different time lines and dimensions. The locals are hostile save for few, the underground is dangerous, various types of monsters exist here, and there is no method of going home that has supposedly been found. Also, people who arrive here have the ability to gain powers, and are addressed as 'Scorched' by the natives.

That covers all that I know.

Basically everything besides the mist, then.

It's dangerous. Go too far in it, and you'll begin bleeding to death. Though, that's if you get through the monsters first. The monsters and the hallucinations and nightmares.

This place has a pub? You're one step ahead of me. You know if he serves anything hard. Bourbon maybe? [Despite the overall calm presentation, there is a sharp, overwhelmed edge to his voice]

My attention wasn't necessarily on what he serves. It's something you'd have to see for yourself.

Think you can tell me where you found it then?

Where are you at currently?

From what you've said, I guess the only thing you haven't been informed of is the Mist. It isn't normal.

In what ways isn't it normal?

It has all kinds of strange effects on people. It can take away powers. It can make you incredibly fatigued. It can make you... see things. Hallucinate. And other things that I've heard of but haven't seen for myself.

It usually stays outside the city limits, as far as I can tell. But sometimes it does come into town, and when it does something bad is usually about to happen.

You don't dance around the point at all, do you? Can't say I've seen anyone with clothing like that, though.

I don't like wasting time in a situation like this, that's all.

... hm. It was a long shot anyway, but thanks.

Don't think anyone does!

I could keep an eye out; there's more of us arriving all the time, looks like.

So this isn't an uncommon occurrence? I was told I'd only be able to contact others who were brought here through this device, so...

Yeah.

Do you have a picture--? That's not really much to go by.

... No. I didn't bring anything like that with me when I came here. It's wishful thinking for the most part anyway.
