12. [video] - Broadcast Mind

Oct 22, 2010 09:43

[It'd be a perfectly normal post - except it's a video, thing Jason rarely uses, and the screen is uniformly black. There's no sound. If you turn your volume on louder, you might be able to hear slow 'thumps', like a heartbeat, or another rhythmic sound.

It's getting less and less dark. You can figure out shapes, but they're moving. A laugh, suddenly, impossible to place - it makes you jump, and it scares you. Too loud, too sudden, and you can hear ragged breaths above the thumps, now. Ragged breaths and the sounds of clothes rustling.

You can see the shapes, now. It's hands. Two hands. They are broken and bleeding - fingernails break and fall before your eyes - but they don't stop moving, and you can finally see what they are doing. They are scratching at fabric and wood. The fabric is torn already, revealing bloodied wood and a few splinters. The hands are still scratching. Still scratching up.

"Of all my failures," says a disembodied voice.

The person to whom the hands belong to make a noise, hurt and cold and animal-like. "No no no no no no nonnonononono-" Maybe you can recognize this voice, to whom the hands belong.

"Of all my failures."

"Shut up shut up shut up shut upshutupshutup-"

"You have been my biggest."

"SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUTUPSHUTUPDON'T LEAVE ME HERE DON'T LEAVE ME HEREDON'TLEAVEMEHERE-" His voice breaks on the scream, like his hands on the wood.

The record stops here.]
