[It's a young Naruto, eyes huge and wide, exuberant and rambling and Sasuke's head hurts just thinking about it. It's a young Naruto who appears to have no recollection of anything after the age of... five, six, seven at most, and Sasuke has absolutely no idea how to react.]

[Sasuke cuts through the babble straight to the point. He's fairly sure, but -]
I know, 'cause someone moved the mountain! And the ramen stand! [Which are the two most important things in Konoha to his eight-year-old self.] And this place is all gloomy n'stuff. [Deep breath.] It doesn't matter! We're gonna find it anyway and Sakura-chan's mom and dad too, 'cause she's lookin' for 'em.
[Pause.]
I remember where the ramen stand is? [Was. Another pause. That's a weird question, even if this guy sounds totally serious when he asks it. Wait.] Hey, you know my name! ... How d'you know my name?
[Sasuke is trying very, very hard to curb his irritation, and the strain shows in his voice. Because Sakura has evidently been affected too, and even Sasuke can't quite bring himself to snap at a kid that young. Finally -]
You're not usually this... young, Sakura.
I take it you're with Naruto? Are the two of you... [An exhaled breath.] safe?
Some of us are probably kidnapped and we have to go rescue Mr. Zurich! We're meeting at the soldier's house! The one with the fish, but we don't know how to get there.
YOU SOUND GROWN UP! DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR NAME IS?
...how do I get to the soldier's house. Do you know?
[Kidnapped. He doesn't know whether it's the fabrications of a child's mind, or a real threat, and his complete non-comprehension of the rest of the girl's quick chatter doesn't help either.]

[Awkward hesitation.]
...What's your name?
Perhaps it would be better if you stayed where you were and waited.

[It's a new voice, a stranger's voice, though it too is suspiciously high. It's one that acknowledges the strangeness of the situation, however, which is easier to deal with.]
Have you been affected too?
I take it things like this don't happen too frequently around here.
