[The communicator clicks on with the obvious background sound of something walking on a hard surface, most likely stone. It doesn't last long as the only sound available]Has anyone formally explored the Mist when it's at a normal state as it is now? Most of us who are call 'Scorched' have entered it and suffered from some of the effects, but has ( Read more... )

I explore the mist a lot. I went as far as I could go. Pretty sure I got past the ruins. Then, somethin' or someone asked me what was 'my heart's desire.' Or some shit like that. Probably a hallucination.

Anyway, I dunno what happened after that, must'a passed out but when I woke up, I wasn't in the mist anymore and I wasn't bleeding or burnin'. I was fine. 'Course, I was also back in Anatole.

Hmmm, so the Mist seems to also have the ability to transport then? That's another interesting fact about the Mist.

Either that or someone found me and moved me. There wasn't anyone with me when I went out though.

The mist might be able to heal too. I heal fast but, I don't think I could've healed that fast.

Judging from the monsters in the Mist, I'd say you had a better chance of getting mauled. Something had to have saved you.

Seems kind of random if you ask me.

The Mist has shifted since the last expedition I took.

Anything since then would be unreliable until another is made.

Shifted how so?

The revealing of the mansion in the Mist is the greatest one to note. No one had noticed it until recently. It's possible there are others we aren't aware of.

Was there anything of interest at that mansion? I wasn't interested in going myself.

The lighthouse is still out there.

I can understand needing to know more about this Mist, even this world...

[But using humans to experiment... that's never sat well with him, exactly.]

I think it'd be a good idea to think it through more carefully to prevent unnecessary casualties.

I've been here for long enough that I'm willing to take some risks. Of course, I wouldn't risk others if they too felt uncomfortable with the potential danger.

Animals are unreliable; we don't know how the Mist affects them.

There are always risks in investigations like these, but if we can reduce the risk...

Then I'll go alone.

Bleeding and burning? I haven't heard that one.

I recently arrived here, so I have no experience with the mist, but I am very interested to know the extent of the effects. I've been considering testing myself in it anyway.

You have to go out pretty far to reach that point, I think. It's hard to gauge distance once in it.

Well... hallucinations are a big one. Fatigue I've heard but never experienced. Someone said something about hallucinations becoming real. There are monsters out there too, completely willing to kill you.

Interesting.

I have no problem with monsters. I'm completely willing to kill them.

If that's so, then just watch out for the Mist effects. Sometimes you just see something out of the corner of your eye. The deeper you go, I expect the worse the effects.
