Given the way he ran when he encountered Mei during his attack on Scar, his sudden flight leaves a small percentage in the likelihood he would want to spend time with a child of his own free will. His MO has consistently been to kill those he deems useless or a threat, from unknown souls to warriors and those with adept Talents provided for by Anatole's very existence. Potential, such as that belonging to children, shouldn't figure into his way of thinking
