Text... to start with.

All these dead people and not dead people and weird dreams are really starting to wear everyone down, it looks like. And now there are monsters or something? Haven't seen any myself. The benefits of staying indoors.

I think everyone's going to need some extra help, though, so I'll offer what I can: your very own personalized gadgets, just like you had back home. Well, maybe not just like it, but I could probably make a close enough copy that you wouldn't know the difference. Count your blessings, right? I mean if you're anything like me you're probably fed up that these fucking Forges are the best thing we've got, although I could probably do something with them, too. Modifications, built from scratch, business or recreation - if it's got an on switch, you name it.

All for a price, mind. Bloke's got to eat.

You know, this selling yourself thing is for shit. Maybe I should just show what we've already got on the table. I remember a few people asking for one.

[Click - the video goes on, and instead of showing anything remotely resembling Matt, there's, well... there's a box. Anyone from a world with advanced enough technology will immediately recognize it: a tv set. A little crude looking, sure, but pretty big, and when a gloved hand reaches into frame and brushes over the buttons on the edge it flickers to life, showing some nondescript cartoon that you might even recognize.]

[The only tv in Anatole, and it works.]

[When the person behind the Forge speaks up his voice sounds a bit quiet and mumbling, like it isn't used to addressing people.]

Christ, can't believe that's the best I could find... fucking-- anyway. Namine, was it? Congrats, you got your wish. 'Course it'll only run whatever videos this place already has, but it's good enough, I think. I'm not opening up the BBC Anatole or anything.

Now I just have to figure out what to do with the bloody thing.
