It seems as though at least one of the threats I thought were here with me in Anatole may not be as serious as I'd estimated them to be

Thanks very much for your offer. But I'm curious; why do you say your help - or any of us, for that matter - would be less effective in the ruins? Is it because of the presence of that fog?
It isn't quite that, though I've heard the natives whispering about things like that sometimes.
It's just that I've never been to the ruins, and I don't seem to have any abilities that might help aside from my songs (and even then, it's rather iffy), so combining the possibility of me getting hopelessly lost and not being able to defend myself, you might just have to search for me as well as the missing child.
[her voice is rueful and apologetic all at once] I just honestly think I'd be more of a liability if I went along, though I'll do my best to help within the city.
You wouldn't be a liability...but I've just found out that a search may be fruitless after all. Someone on the network reported that she's been found, and I assume not alive.

[unbelievably] You've...made your own jam? I don't...know that I should try any. Knowing you, it's probably sickeningly-sweet.
[ignoring the remark he made about the LABB cases] Unfortunately there's no point now in going out to do a search. Apparently her body has turned up.
I still feel the need to know what's going on out here, though, so I'm considering searching the ruins myself. I don't know if you'd want to accompany me; those ruins have been said to be particularly dangerous. But I can't just...sit here and watch while innocent people...children...are killed.
[The girl's death weighs heavily on her mind, dragging down her mood and making her somber.] I'm tired of simply watching as bodies turn up. Maybe there's a clue to the killer's nature or whereabouts somewhere in the ruins.

Nonsense, Misora! The two-to-one ratio is flawless. It would be quite beneficial for something like this. I'll put some in a bag. You can try it later.
[And when he says 'put some in a bag'...he means that literally.]
Children or adults, it makes no difference. But I would be happy to accompany you, if only to help you find anything that was missed.

[oh god...jam in a bag? Naomi represses a wave of nausea.]
I-if you insist...
I still think crimes against children are even worse than crimes against adults, but you're welcome to think what you wish. I'm glad [thinks: glad?] that you've decided to accompany me. It's better to work in pairs, I think.
Shall we meet up again at the market, as we did before?
[[ooc: I'll be out til Sunday evening, but we can log then? :)]]

I don't know how much help I'd be in an actual search, especially in the ruins, but I'd like to offer any support or assistance I can.

The jam isn't necessary at the moment. Not because it isn't necessary, but because I've learned how to make my own.
Would you like to try some?
