Fic Recs

I thought it was beyond time that I do one of these lists. As yet it is far from comprehensive, and while I'm in fandom I don't intend for it ever to be -- but I think it's a good enough spring-board. It's more of a 'What I like' than 'What I think people should read' list, however, so be warned ( Read more... )

do as i rec not as i say

Oh, many things. Your strange facisnation with cheese, the many sordid things you do with cow bells, the posting of lists. You know, the usual.

Well, you know me and my lists. They are just bastions of evil.

Considering that my writing is so inferior to most of the above, I'm not too surprised. Also, didn't you once mention a penchant for Snape/Hermione? I think I've read one Snape/Hermione in my entire life, and it didn't make a huge impression (obviously).

You loved it? I'm at the 'can't stand' stage. Sure, I'll put out a request. Will you be free later on in the summer? (Again, if you aren't it's okay. Lj is not the only place to garner betas.)

Is it a children's book? I thought the ASOUE books were good apart from the way he kept explaining what every word above two syllables meant. That got tiresome.

:) I did. When I really love something I don't tend to forget it.

Thanks so much for the mentions, my dear. I think you are the only person to ever rec Telling Hogwarts. It's the red-headed step child of my repertoire, that's for sure!

I like the variety of this list, and there are a few I've never seen, so I'll have to check them out.

Really? Granted, I read it first when my taste was, ahem, a little less polished than it is now ... but some stories never grow old, and I thought the set-up was good!

Well, I love all of them, but I suppose there are some superficial differences ... heehee.
