Oh GOD, (500) Days of Summer. It was so ... like something I would write. It freaked me out. Everything, from the emphasis on certain plot aspects to the side characters and THE END and the 'realism' aspect - even the wonky HD camera style - seriously. I MIGHT HAVE MADE THAT. So the whole experience was ... kinda cheap. For me. Also, I sound like a ( Read more... )

I really enjoyed (500) Days of Summer. I think I want to go again just to take another look at how they spliced up the time frames and shadowed/framed them against each other. I found that really interesting. (I still prefer Emily to Zooey, though.)

Yeah, I don't know. I LIKED the format, but it was reallyreallyreally predictable. Again, I kept thinking, Hey, that's what I'd have done! - which kind of took the fun out of it.

Emily as in the girl from The Devil Wears Prada? Nah, Zooey ftw! Her name is much more awesome too. :D

I went in knowing a little about it and how it would end, and yeah, the overall formula was a little predictable, but I liked how they mocked certain aspects of the rom coms--like when Tom has his whole singing and coordinated dance scene.

No, Zooey's sister Emily. She plays Bones on... Bones. XD

Ooh, I really enjoyed that movie! And the soundtrack was definitely great, if you find it somewhere, I'd love to know where!

Dude, I was already severely tempted to go see this movie since Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in it, but now that you say it reminds you of your writing, I totally HAVE to see it.

And speaking of movies, have you seen "Were the World Mine"? Shakespeare, Hot boys kissing, and catchy musical numbers. The only thing that really annoyed me was an irrelevant subplot involving the main character's mother. Otherwise, I recommend it.

JGL is a great incentive to see ANYTHING ... which is why I can never now erase the memory of Mysterious Skin from my cerebral cortex. >:( However, I hope you enjoy it in the good way and not in the way I did, which was sort of 'oh GOD' ish.

BOYKISSING? No! I will keep a lookout, though!

I didn't know you were doing popoffacork! Did you mention it? /o\

But, I read that fic and it was super sweet! I can't believe you asked for Brendon/Spencer though. ;) But I really appreciate that you did. :D

Um ... probably not? I thought it was supposed to be a secret?

It was right after the split and I was feeling ~tender. I'm back up for anything now - Brendon/Ryan included. ;D
