I am unrepentantly shallow, and I agree with most of your choices. But I just do not get Russell Brand. It does not compute.

RE the Nevada-California thing: I'm always kind of shocked by how many people living in other countries have a decent grasp on American geography. We're so ethnocentric here; most people don't even know the names of any UK counties, much less their locations. Nevada and California aren't all that far apart, in the grand scheme of things.
