First: A happy happy birthday to webqatch!

I have taken recently to using Web-based email, and I must say it's been mostly good. (Kudos to thecanuckguy for the service.) However, I have also had need to speak to people over email about some things that I'd rather not speak about in public, which necessitates using encryption. Now I don't know of any proggie that ( Read more... )

Are you using webmail? If so you probably want something that works independently of your email. I will post the link to an article that describes exactly what you want as soon as I can find it.

That's GnuPG. I have that. Trouble is, it's no good if no one else uses it. I've posted my public key twice on LJ, once on my Web page, and it's been available for anyone to download on my profile for three years. Back when I was trying to get this started, I announced it. The only key I have installed on it is my own, and to my knowledge, no one else has stored my public key. I just stopped using it after while.

Thanks for the kudos! Being my first (and so far only) customer using it, besides myself, I like the feedback.

Surprised you use it so much. I use it a fair bit because, ironically, I have more time to check email at work than I do at home (where I have my Pegasus mail to check email). Can't you just do what I do and download your email through your regular mail reader (like I do with Pegasus) and use the features you're used to there and still have the ability to use webmail? I'm living proof it can be cone as, of course, we use the same webmail (prodly brought to you by Home Pages Plus! and the letter S)

If you want help with this, let me know.
