Teh science. Let me show you it.

Okay, folks...this is why you do not pray for rain in the middle of a drought. Yes, we were way low, but making it all up at once wasn't what we had in mind. Kid-1's game was cancelled, and the rescheduling may be washed out as well, as the rain continues to fall. The county is under a flood watch, and I would suspect that all the surrounding ( Read more... )

I'd like to syndicate it on LJ, if she doesn't mind -- I've created a penumbrallore account, but the RSS feed is evidently not good. Have her run it through http://feedvalidator.org/ and correct any problems and entries should start showing up.

I'd say making it up all at once is quite the overstatement- we're still around 8" low for the year- the reason we went from water use restrictions directly to flood watch, too, is just as much because the ground is packed so hard from no rain all summer, it can't absorb it. /: Case in point: it's been coming down for three days, and our sump pit was still dry, last I checked.

DH's soccer game postponed till next week. But, we're far from the spring about 5 years ago where we could only get 3 games in from all the rain.

I can't imagine anyone who is in the scientific profession not enjoying and getting value from Penumbral Lore.

And for those of us who aren't in the scientific profession? What about us that just like to read random brain-droppings (like what's on your blog currently)?

Well, I suppose folks could still get something out of it, but it is scientific and technical in nature. And concerning what I write...well, given my blog of late, I did really need to hear that. Thanks.
