Hm, a dilemma!

So I'm noticing that there are posts I make here on which I'd like to use polls or some different icons, and I'm not able to. I flipped the bird to LJ's moneyed ways a while back, as my renewal coincidentally came at the same time as the Great Strikethrough, the latter of which I did not appreciate out of a company with which I do business ( Read more... )

Robin Laws, a game designer, used a free poll maker, as he didn't have access to LJ's feature. It doesn't have the same flexibility - or at least Robin didn't use it.

Stick it to da man!

Really, of what use are those? Free's always been good for me, for one. The polls I recall of yours were nothing but fun whimsy and, while fun whimsy is nice, are you willing to pay money for fun whimsy? This is why I remain free, more icons and polls, while tempting and fun, aren't neessary for the use of LJ at all.
