That's part of the problem with having a central government that you know is lying to you; trying to figure out who else is also becomes much more difficult.

My rides to and from work have treated me to the BBC's description of a program to resolve global warming that appears to be gakked from Highlander II (giant mirrors in space or shooting reflective particles into the upper atmosphere) and NPR's description of a new Gov't sponsored non-lethal ray that makes the subject(s) feel as if their skin is on fire (I can't wait to be at that protest march).

I'm just waiting for Monty Python's Joke Warfare to become a reality.
