well, wednesday chewie went to the vet for an evaluation of her health, since she is not eating. we kept her there for the day with an i.v. drip, along with a low dose steroid injection. she is down to 4.81 pounds. i took her home that night, and she ate three times (in very small amounts). at least she was interested in food, though. she still had ( Read more... )

I'm sorry to hear that Chewie isn't doing well :( Seeing her the other day wrenched my heart...I hate seeing her like that. But from what i saw it didn't seem like she was suffering, maybe just really tired. When i pet her, she purred and she didn't cry or anything...so maybe you do have some time.

Poor baby...I wish there was something you could do, but don't blame yourself...its difficult to know whether or not something is wrong with the fuzzes since they can't tell you. And unfortunatly, drs make mistakes. You have done everything you can, and more than most people would for your kitty...I'm sure she knows that.

Poor chewie! Just remember things always happen for a reason and there is nothing you did wrong, you of all people are the best parent an animal could ever have. I hope she bounces back!!! I've had kitties come back from the worst things and go on for years afterwards so keep high hopes. With hope she will get better. ::hugs::

i know, it's just hard since we can't talk to her. if it is true that cats have 9 lives, i think she is about halfway through. she has bounced back lots of times, so i am still holding out hope.

oh poor Chewie. I was going to email you and see how she was doing. Let's hope she can come out of it, she is pretty young. I hope she starts doing better. let me know =)
