Is anyone else interested in driving to Boston on the weekend of the 22nd for XKCD day? I'm currently a "maybe" since RAMROD is scheduled for the Saturday, but I figured I should see who else is interested. I'm not doing that long of a drive on my own.

Well, it's a real date, and a real place. The place is a public park in either Boston or Cambridge (I don't recall which.) Odds are good there will be lots of odd people at that place and time. Also, Randal Munroe lives in Boston so maybe he'll show up.

I'd be halfway interested, if only it weren't for this RAMROD thingy. Le sigh.

So why don't we do RAMROD next weekend, or else in the middle of the week? (I'm free most Thursdays and I can take time off on most other days.)

They're really not that bad, especially at land crossings. I actually find Canadian agents (on the way home) less friendly. You do need proof of citizenship (birth certificate or passport) as well as your driver's license. As of January 2008, you'll need a passport.
