Understood, fukutaichou, and I'll get that equipment list put together. Considering Hitsugaya-taichou is one of Szayel's leftovers now, is this to be considered primarily a decontamination above all else? Or would any potential samples take priority above that?
A decontamination. If the post made by the arrancar is to be believed, there will be other samples from lower-ranked shinigami that have been in his presence for longer than Hitsugaya-taichou was. I am sure there will be more to study from them.
However, if you discover a parasite, or an implant, or an 'egg' of any sort in Hitsugaya-taichou, then that will take priority over anything else. Should such a thing exist, it must be brought back whole and unharmed. Take a sedative, enough to render Hitsugaya-taichou unconscious in case this problem does present itself. He has expressed distaste at the thought of visiting the laboratory and will probably not do so while he is conscious, no matter the possible consequences.

Considering Hitsugaya-taichou, that's likely to be a large sedative. I would suggest setting up a field lab in a familiar setting in order to accomodate his... distaste for lab settings and to secure his cooperation in the future. However, given the nature of anything we might find inside Hitsugaya-taichou, that might not be a workable solution. Any suggestions?
My orders remain the same. The equipment I have suggested should be enough to accomplish the collection of any samples that may still remain on Hitsugaya-taichou, as well as a decontamination.
If anything is discovered inside of him, you are not authorized to try and remove it. Such a delicate procedure must be left to Mayuri-sama.
Your experience with the Octava must certainly be taken into account. You have my permission.
As for the retrieval party, I was part of it myself. I will submit to any necessary testing. You will of course need the permission of any of the others, but the rest of the party consisted of Ukitake-soutaichou, Abarai-taichou, Kurosaki-san, Matsumoto-fukutaichou, Muguruma-san, and Konoe-san.
I will remain advised of your request should a rescue party be formed for the remains.
Thank you for the information and cooperation, Unohana-taichou. I will be sure to get in contact with them, and I will arrange for examinations as soon as possible.

The zanpakutou thing in Seireitei, right? I heard about that. Uh . . . nothing happened to you, did it?
Hm. I don't remember anything particularly weird going on here. But my Hollow senses and who knows what else have kinda gone screwy on me ever since I got my serial number removed. So if something was going on, I might not really be able to tell.

Fine, then. I left the Fourth yesterday; my time is, apparently, at your disposal.

Would you prefer to visit the laboratory, or shall one of us come to you?

Remove it? You had it removed?

And yeah. Was that wrong? I mean, you told me to do something about it . . .

I did not mean for you to remove it. Your serial number was etched into you. Do you know how was it removed, Kon-san?
