Included Fandoms List
The definition of science fiction is a tricky one-- no one definition has really been universally accepted, and the line between scifi and other genres like fantasy, horror, spy-fi, etc. continues to be debated. The following statements, however, are helpful in defining the genre.

"Science fiction is that class of prose narrative treating of a situation that could not arise in the world we know, but which is hypothesized on the basis of some innovation in science or technology, or pseudo-science or pseudo-technology, whether human or extra-terrestrial in origin."

This community is fairly narrow in what it considers to be scifi. To be included here, science fiction elements (aliens, tech, alternate dimentions, etc.) must be among the overarching themes and essential to the plot of the fandom. Fandoms with only minor instances of science fiction, and fandoms where themes of other genres (fantasy, spy, horror, etc) take precedence over the scifi elements or are merely supported by the scifi elements, will not be allowed.
The following films and tv shows are allowed to be used in challenges at Scifiverse. The list can be expanded, and each potential new fandom will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If there’s a film or tv show you’d like to submit for consideration, please leave a comment with a link to the Wikipedia article or other similar description. Please only ask for fandoms to be added if you intend to use them in challenges.
