You get some interesting thoughts browsing other fandoms

So, I was browsing SGA fandom last night when I came across something interesting. Now, I don't browse SGA (Stargate: Atlantis) much anymore, because it's not the fun place for me it used to be and the show itself lost me a couple of seasons ago anyway, but there's a few journals I still keep a vague eye on and one of them was wondering if it was ( Read more... )

<3 I remember way back when someone did something like this for Gundam Wing, and it actually worked really well, but I have no idea where to track down the fic (if it's still up).

Personally, I think your all girl toku team is lovely, and a lot better than what you see in most all girl team fics (i.e. wish fulfillment like woah). AU fic, y/y?

(Yuuri always struck me as a stereotypical Red with Tatsuya as a stereotypical Pink, so... =P)

There are other all girl teams? The closest I've seen is an alternate Ninja Storm which switched the genders of the characters.

As for fic, I don't know. Maybe?

Agreed on Yuuri and Tatsuya though. If you're going by the 'pink is the heart of the team' theory - which doesn't always work - then Tatsuya definitely has that role down. ;)

Ranru stared at the blue jacket in her hands, feeling a little awkward. Blue wasn't her colour, it was Yukito-san's and she could just imagine the comments he'd come out with when he heard about this, even if they would be partly to cover worry that none of the team would be with her. Still, none of this was getting her anywhere and she firmly pulled on the jacket, trying not to wish that it was her yellow Abaranger one.

Of all of them only Umeko and Jasmine hasn't switched colours, and while Yuuri didn't seem to have any problems with red, Ran seemed to be having similar difficulties to herself in adjusting to a colour so radically different. The one comforting thing was that the henshin device on her wrist - while not her Dino Brace - was a familiar, reassuring weight and at least using it wouldn't be so very different.

They could do this. It didn't matter who the enemy was this time, they were going down.
