Dead Zone thoughts and rants and raves

Yesterday marked the fourth episode of season sixth. I haven't watched any of this season yet. After finding out what I did yesterday, I doubt I will watch anything but the very first episode (for the mythos element, despite the crappy x 200,435 job TPTB did of it). You see, I thought I knew what happened in that first episode. Dude, I was so wrong ( Read more... )

That's really crappy about Season 6. I hate it when writers and producers just trample all over the things that made a series work in the first place. And I really, really hate it when plots are twisted round to make room for a new or re-established relationship that just feels contrived, based on the way the series worked before. I feel for you, I really do!

-_-;; Thanks, I still can't believe it. Argh. How I miss what it was when it first started... At least I have the boxsets for that. =3

Oh Jeez, you weren't even spoiled until Monday? My condolence.

Anyway, this is a great rant that I enjoyed very much to read. We might be on different ends of the slash spectrum when it comes to The Dead Zone (see icon), but are obivioulsy pretty much on the same level of outrage when it comes to this disgusting (yeah, I think disgusting is the right word) "remake" of the series they thought up this season.

Like you, I have absolutely no idea what they were thinking. Okay, maybe I know what there were thinking: How can we make this formerly great show into a mainstream cheesefest and spare some money on cast in the process?

*is fucking mad with you*

Compatriots! *defiant fan* =3 It's rather nice to hear that someone's equally outraged. I've been astonished with the number of people rather content... I've heard more than one person say that they think the show's out of its slump, back to seasons one and two. (in terms of plotlines.) Maybe that's the case, but I dealt with the ridiculous plots and rehashes ("Independence Day", "Revelations" anyone?) because of having the characters... Wow I could go on a rant again. XD

Have you seen the colorbars I've been making lately? Your icon reminds me that I need to do Johnny, Sarah, and additional pairings yet. (And obviously I need to do an ot3, lol.)

Yeah, it's good to be joined in madness. The "content" fans are either smoking really good stuff, or are really desperate for new episodes, I don't know. ;)

I could write a whole book of rants about this, I think.

Yes, I saw them. I really liked the Walt one. *going to steal it now*
