Do they have to be sci-fi characters? :-) Because the first three that leapt to my mind were spy-fi, spy-fi and fantasy respectively. *g*

In that case:

1. Angus MacGyver. Do I really need to explain that one? ;-)

2. Amanda King (Scarecrow and Mrs. King). Because this was a den mother who took the job seriously. Add it together with her later spy training and she'd definitely be a handy person to have around. *g*

3. Kat Gardner (Eastwick). She can make plants grow, heal, and control the weather. All useful talents on a desert island. *g*

4. Martha Jones (Doctor Who). She's not just a doctor, she's also proved resourceful in a wide variety of unpredictable circumstances. Plus she can call the Doctor and arrange a lift home for us all (with lots of stops along the way). ;-)

5. Hoshi Sato (Star Trek: Enterprise). If the island turns out to be not so deserted after all, who better to have along than someone who could figure out how to communicate with the natives in record time? :-)
