I miss Adventures In Anthropology! Another true science-lovin' Geekess, keepin' the banner high and proud in the midst of all the (admittedly-fun) TS blahblah, and you go friends-only. Argh.
Um, may I be one? *proffers box of Tucker-shaped chocolate*

not quite old enough to dig up for your term paper, but getting there
And btw, the anthropological parent of that looooovely grunge cap the man is wearing in your wallpaper is a beloved Peruvian creation called the chullo.
In quite a large chunk of the Andes, a young man isn't considered a true adult and thus worthy of serious romantic consideration by the local lovelies until he's learned to knit his OWN chullo to impress one and all with his great big, er, prowess in knitting, so valuable for women AND men in that mountain region with herds producing premium alpaca yarn for the traditional crafts which are increasingly a source of fair-trade income for the locals.
Although marvelous traditional patterns and colorways exist for this cap, one can find contemporary chullos in any combination imaginable -- like the neon-chartreuse acrylic cap with a large black Batman bat logo which I saw some years ago in a knitting magazine and the Disney-themed chullos I saw in my very Hispanic neighborhood when I lived in Nueva York.
Hello, Pix's friend! Since we'll be seeing you in October, I figured I'd add you. And, because we need to know pretty quick, I was wondering if you'd be interested in joining us for a hockey game. Yes or no, it doesn't matter; we're both looking forward to seeing you and everyone else.
