Santa gave my daughter a kiddie microscope last December. Proof of the fact that I am a bad/too strict mom, we only got around to opening the darn thing last Saturday night. She was soo excited to play with it, I could barely get her to eat her dinner first before we cracked that thing open.

I really love this story for so many reasons. Seriously, it touches my heart. And it really makes me look forward to the days when I have my own daughter to share cool things with. :-)

You're too sweet! BTW, I told this story to one of my co-workers. She then asked me .. "Do you really want your daughter to be a scientist, especially now that you know how hard of a career that can be?" ... I gave her a "oh crap" look and she laughed so hard. Figured I'd share. Maybe this wasn't such a good thing after all! :-P

Believe me, if I could get away from lab, I would so drive over there and visit you. And yeah, can you tell I am totally head over heels in love with that child?
