Case 2

Is the future really inevitable, or can the choices of people really change the course of already seen events...

Gives me something to think on for a while, I guess...

Events already seen? By who, some wanna be fortune teller? We're the ones callin' the shots in this whole nutty Circle of Life thing, aren't we? ... Eh, most of them?

It was actually someone who claims to be from my world...only in my future. Sounds much more silly when I look at it written down.

I guess I'm just confused, you know?

Yeah...

[Private To Sara]

You think you're confused?

Pumbaa -you know him, right? Well, he's supposedly from 'the future' too. I mean, he's still Pumbaa, but... He's got these habits he never had before. He knows all these animals we've never even met.

And Simba, he apparently met a lioness and had a cub. -oh yeah, and the whole little tidbit about him being king that someone didn't tell me about. So his daughter is here as well as her boyfriend who I was hangin' out with for awhile.

It's complicated; there are three animals I know... Er, that know me, that are from the future.

[Private to Timon]

Yeah, I know Pumbaa...well, know of him. And this sounds like, but a bit different from what I'm going through...

I met a gentleman who claims he's from the same world I'm from, but the future. He even asked questions about information only people from there would know, but then, he told me that...well, I'm not going to go into details, but it isn't good...

So I'm just confused as to what I, one insignificant person can do to change it.

Whatever you're talking about, it's only inevitable if you lie down and let it happen.

Hmmm, I'll talk that into consideration...

But what can one person do against a government of sorts?

Hm... An interesting question, that. I'd think that if there are as many worlds out there as there are people in this place that it would be possible.

Any reason you ask?

Heard some bad news about my home's future.

And what news is that?

Chaos, Fascism, my country doesn't even exist anymore.

Choice has an effect.

The future is determined by the past; the present is past in short order.

You had to bring up the past....

The choice of one person versus a governmental army with weapons and power on their side?

Odds seem quite bad.

The past is all there really is.

Odds often are. And...?
We all affect the present, and by extension, the past: there are possibilities yet.

[two can play that game]

So you say. I turn my back on mine. It holds nothing good.

But yet, what does the past have to do with the future. It is done. Over. Written in stone. It may have something to do with now, but not later.
