I have to work so fucking hard for my A's and B's that a sick smile comes over my face whenever I hear of people who used to get straight A+'s at other schools get cut down to barely passing at mine.

It's sad that people need to resort to strategies of getting good grades in order to get good grades. I've always felt strongly that the content of the class is what should be the focus for the student, and it grosses me out when people don't take classes out of interest, but instead with "what's easiest" on their minds. It's sick that then those people get through where someone like yourself who's trying really hard to learn the things she wants to learn can't easily compete.

Then again, GPA doesn't matter as long as you don't fail out of the school and don't care about grad school. My high GPA now makes me feel obligated to do a masters, just because it took so much fucking work, whereas if I'd studied a little less intensely I wouldn't have to worry about yet another fucking degree, and could just finish.

So many drones going there for FREE thanks to the Bank of Mom and Dad and have NO IDEA why they are there in the first place. Hoping to find the way? Not a chance if they've never paid their own rent or needed to fend/think for themselves

I don't have anything useful to say, just hugs and to reiterate what a lovely and terrific person you are (which you already knew :)
it all comes out in the wash, which I know isn't something easy to focus on when you're in the thick of it, but it helps me sometimes.

I know it's the system. I don't feel stupid, it's just soooooo frustrating to put in so much work and still barely cough out a pass. It's even more frustrating to see so many kids that don't know what they're doing with their lives and roll outta bed and get A grades. It's really challenging!
