Jane is standing in a scrapyard accompanied by an X-Wing, a dinosaur and an inter-dimensional wormhole. The world has definitely gotten weirder in the last few minutes

It isn't very often that Fred finds herself at the scrapyard outside of her applied engineering class. Pretty much all of the classwork is done in class, and they're not really allowed to take any of it home with them, so there's not much need for it.
Except, Fred has been doing some thinking on her initial designs, and sometimes, when inspiration strikes, it's not so easy to just wait for class time to roll around again. Maybe it's crazy to think that Mr. Stark will grant an exception-- if he's even at the scrapyard-- but at the very least, she can take a look at what she's done so far to determine whether or not her modifications are feasible.
She doesn't expect to find Jane there, though, and she definitely doesn't expect to find Jane there with a dinosaur.
"Woah. Good Velociraptor. Deinonychus? Definitely Deinonychus." Fred says, holding up both hands, hoping that the gesture comes across as non-threatening. Though, Jane doesn't appear to be in any immediate danger, so maybe it's okay.
"Fred!" Jane cries when she clamps eyes on the other woman. "Oh my god, I'm so glad you're here." It had only a moment ago begun to occur to her that she might need some help with keeping the portal open, but had no way to seek that help.
"It's okay, Lacey," she tells the dinosaur, who gives her what Jane would swear is an affronted look but clearly cannot be because, hello, it's a dinosaur. Jane looks to the sign slung over the leathery back and reads it for the first time.
"Oh. Old Lace. My bad, sorry," she says, then quickly directs her attention back to Fred.
"Iron Man just went through that portal with a blonde kid to rescue Peter Parker," she continues, pointing. "I need help- We need help," she amends, assuming that Fred is going to want in on this. "Do you know Walter or Belle?"
Walter was definitely the more critical of the two, but Belle had proven a solid assistant. She took orders well and without question, and they might need a runner.
Fred's a yammerer. There's no doubt that she's prone to long, rambling speeches about any and everything, but that doesn't make it any easier for her to follow what Jane's just said.
"...Iron Man did what?" she asks, and even though she's aware that Tony Stark is Iron Man, it still sounds like something right out of the comic books that Charles used to read back home sometimes.
Jane thought it was all quite clear, but fine, she'll explain it again and a bit more slowly.
"Tony Stark," she begins, motioning emphatically with both hands. "He put on a robot suit and went through that portal over there with the kid who owns this dinosaur." Okay, saying it out loud again, she can see how it might sound a little crazy.
"Peter Parker went through earlier, we don't know why, but Stark went through to rescue him. I need to keep the portal open and stable as long as I can, and I need help, because I literally walked into this maybe ten minutes ago. Do you know Walter or Belle, because they could help us, and I can't leave."
