Jun 11, 2012 19:01

I'm not dead, I'm writing. And reading. And teaching (sometimes). And job hunting (see last statement).

But, you won't believe it! Fic! But, don't worry, it's weird fic like usual...Also, there's math. Also, Also...multi-chaptered. So there is MORE.

Enjoy!

Aww!!!! This fic is so cute! The little Everlark children are adorable! How old are they supposed be at this point?

And I can see this whole scenario playing out. It feels realistic for the characters. I'm very much looking forward to the next chapter of this fic.

The daughter is about 6 or 7 and her brother is 3ish. They are really fun to write, actually, especially the daughter because she has quite a rebellious streak. (Like mother, like daughter?)

I'm aiming to look at several unexplored facets of life for the Everlarks through the eyes of the daughter. That way I can look at both how Katniss and Peeta manage parenthood considering they are quite broken in many respects but oh so strong in others and how Panem is changing and responding to the legacy of the Games and the war. That said, I'll have the next part up soon! Thank you for your lovely comments!

That was...really lovely. It actually made me quite emotional, for some reason, especially with the little girl and Peeta walking home. I think it's just how patient she is about things she won't likely understand until later in life.

Thank you for sharing.

There is something that appeals to me about how both Peeta and Katniss continue on, despite it being both easy and tempting to just break down and do nothing. And the fact that it is a child looking at this struggle to both cope with the past and move on is interesting because children don't judge and also act with compassion.

I live that scene with them walking home...it's probably my favorite one in this section. So I'm glad you enjoyed it, as well.

Thank you for your lovely comments! :) They are much appreciated.
