Another Summer Day Has Come and Gone Away

Well, grad school has been going well. Commuting is not so bad, for the moment, people are nice, and no one hates me thus far. All improvements. I have to go down to San DIego to pack up the rest of my life there this weekend, and then I am really done ( Read more... )

Ah...... I don't remember if I've read half of those books or not. Once, I picked up a novel I'd never seen before, and halfway through the story, I realized that I'd read it twice in the past year.

I took AP British Literature once upon a time (meaning high school) so I think I read most of Shakespeare's and Jane Auten's. Looking back, I think I hate Shakespeare with a passion. Don't ask why. ^_^

Ah, as I was stuck oversea for a long time, I checked your journal sporadically, hoping for a fic to save my sanity or what's left of it. I was to be disappointed, but was happy to hear from you anyhow.

I hope Grad school will treat you well, and all the best wishes to you.

Congratulations,

Xaki

Poor Shakespeare - I love him, I have his action figure. :)

Sorry for the lack of updates, if it is any compensation, I was going vaguely insane as well. :) Soon I will have some stuff coming up.

And thank you! So far grad school and I are getting along swimmingly, but who knows. When I have to park on campus during the year we may quibble.

Thanks and good luck with your apparently very busy life! :)

I've read 22 to your 39 and some of the ones I have read, I don't remember (Watership Down is mostly a blank for me... except that it was about bunnies, one of which was psychic)
...and I disliked more of them than you did (probably b/c I read a lot of them for school)

BTW any recommendations?

Wow, you do have a way of cropping up.

Um, I have a lot of recs for books (I just alphabetized and categorized my shelf). Any specific genres or areas of interest?

But 22 is respectable considering apparently people have only read 6. Although it occurs to me that my f-list is disproportionately literary...

I was bored and felt like commenting... Surprise!!
No specific genre in mind although, generally speaking, the more fictional the story the better (I know, it's hard to classify one book as more fictional than another... mostly)
hmm, that reminds me; I need to read Catch-22
